Apple Reportedly targeting mid-December for IOS Release 4.3
Earlier today we noted the increasing rumors about Apple and News Corp. work together to launch a new tablet-based product, with John Gruber weighing think that Apple is tentatively planning a media event for December 9th introduce the new offer. Gruber noted that the key role in Apple's product development was the creation of APIs to support billing recurring subscription through iTunes Store accounts, a feature that would probably need another set updated IOS.
MACSTOR adds its voice to the rumor, saying that Apple was planning for an IOS version 4.3 for Monday, December 13. This release plan was based, however, on a first iOS 4.2 See early November, a timetable was pushed back after Apple discovered several bugs just before the outbreak. Here's what we heard from a reliable source: When Apple did not know about the issues WiFi in genetically modified iOS 4.2, the OS was scheduled to be released weeks before Nov. 22. Apple has found the WiFi issues, released one second and GM build iOS 4.2 is released yesterday. It was released in November, but he was in the first half of November. Anyway, before WiFi was discovered, Apple had already planned to release a new version of IOS 4.x in mid-December. Specifically, they were planning for an IOS version 4.3 December 13, a Monday.
Our source tells us it is unclear whether the "extra time" that was required to transport iOS 4.2 (actually, it iOS 4.2.1) will delay for the release of rumors iOS 3.4 December 13 or not. iOS 4.3 should, however, include bug fixes and code maintenance. It is likely that 4.3 will also address the initial questions in AirPlay but we can not confirm this just yet.
The source also indicates that iOS 4.3 shall be in effect support the functionality needed new recurring subscription for The Daily, with a possibility of larger cloud services to come together.
With the launch of the 13th December rumor iOS 04.03 less than three weeks now, we have not seen any apple seed versions of the next version for developers, which casts doubt Apple will be able to achieve this goal .

Rage HD
IOS App Store may have its fair share of compelling and addictive games on offer, but when John Carmack has just called with his last megatextured shoot-em-up, you have to sit down and be careful . Rage HD: Mutant Bash TV is not so much a game full of its own as it is a teaser for the upcoming Rage FPS for the PC, yet even in its rather limited duration, it has managed to seduce and thrill us with his visual and visceral gameplay to stop. It is easily the best game we've yet seen on a mobile device and offers a beautiful demonstration of how far Apple hardware - the 4 iPhone, iPhone and iPod touch fourth generation - can be pushed when some of suitablydexterous hands are the graphics commands. But, of course, games are supposed to be fun to play, not only to look, so why not join us after the break to see how HD Rage manages office mutant-bashing?Rage HD screenshots
The first thing to say about HD Rage is that it's a shooter on rails, meaning that you do not get to personally control the movements of your character, who - like a basket on a park rides - swings to and comes in its own mysterious will. Given the relative lack of sophistication on the supply of touch screen controls, we feel like this was probably the wisest choice. It helps to make the game instantly accessible and minimizes congestion control to a degree where there is no learning curve frustrating. It is possible to improve your aim and agility in combat, but you can get by without it on easy mode.
Looking around is done either by browsing the screen with your finger or tilting and turning the phone itself, including the accelerometer and a gyroscope to come into good use and react quickly impressive. The only thing that kept niggling irking us was that the automatic movement drive also includes a camera control, often so that you threw away your vision bonus points or targets that you might have preferred to take before deliver a merciful death to the nearest mutants. This is clearly part of the game mechanics to make you turn and torque around you to reach every goal, but it is something of a bore.
The control buttons are just cleverly conceived and designed to screen or obscure the action or themselves which makes it particularly difficult to find, use or understand. We also liked the little more sophistication thrown in to differentiate the weapons - you can interrupt the reloading your gun to shoot a shot, you can not do with the assault rifle or handgun, which both require the exchange of an entire clip. In addition, some of the bad guys can throw projectiles at you, you're free to either dodge or shoot into the air, depending on the amount of a badass you.
Overall, id earns high marks from us for their control system (which, admittedly, not much has changed since the days of Doom Resurrection) on a game that does not really work as well on business a relatively small screen of 3.5 inches. It is only enhanced by the score of professional and deeply atmospheric music and, let us once again, butter smooth performance and stunningly beautiful graphics. If there is something wrong with the appearance of Rage HD is the bland pastel color palette - but then we heard that it is fashionable in the dystopian visions of our future post-apocalyptic, then we'll let that slide.
Another positive aspect to note that the game is released suddenly will not lose your progress and you will be released in the same place when you're ready to return it and get back Gunning. If you decide to close it completely, Rage HD will always remember your last checkpoint, and from automatic backups seem to be fairly distributed generously, you are almost guaranteed to have always your path of chaos registration. Who could be something really useful to have ... Rage only if HD has not been so incredibly short. Three miserable levels are offered, each taking no more than 15 minutes to complete (unless you raise the difficulty, then they might take your days), and there is no real-world scenario side of the topic Running Man, no character development, and no grand final hope. As they say, it's more a teaser of a game in itself.
The short solo and multiplayer nonexistent in this game - seriously, why not keep some relevant statistics and we try at least the digital competition - limiting the long-term attractiveness of Rage HD, but if you're looking forbest way to kill, murder, and erase 30 minutes of your life, Gorefest $ 1.99 would be high on our list of recommendations.
NB - There is also an SD version of the game available on the App Store, which costs $ 0.99, which extends downward compatibility for the iPhone 3G and iPod Touch second and third generations

iOS 4.2 Not Coming Until November 16th? [Updated]
Contradicting a report from earlier this week that correctly predicted the release of Mac OS X 10.6.5 yesterday and also claimed that iOS 4.2 will be released tomorrow, iPhoneHellas reports [Google translation] that iOS 4.2 will not launch tomorrow and may debut next Tuesday, November 16th.
iPhoneHellas has offered correct information on iOS releases several times in the past, including accurately pinpointing the release of iPhone OS 2.2 ten days ahead of time and iOS 4.0.1 several hours before its launch.
iOS 4.2 will finally unify Apple's iOS devices on iOS 4, bringing such features as multitasking, home screen folders, and Game Center to the iPad for the first time while also delivering AirPrint, AirPlay, and a number of other enhancements to the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.
Update: MacStories reports that iOS 4.2 may be seeing delays due to issues with Wi-Fi connectivity on the iPad.
Basically, even if the iPad manages to successfully connect to a local network, the connection is lost after a few minutes. This seems to be the most common problem among users, although some can't simply use Safari at all. The bug has been reported to Apple, and they apparently decided to delay the release of iOS 4.2 to fix the bug.
According to the report, Apple may release a new golden master version of iOS 4.2 as early as Friday, but a public release would come later than the previously-rumored Friday debut.Credit by Eric Slivka

AirPlay Functionality Apparently Removed From iPhone 3G
9 to 5 Mac reports that iPhone 3G owners have been struck with yet another blow, this time with the apparent removal of AirPlay functionality in the golden master version of iOS 4.2. The feature had been functional on the iPhone 3G in earlier developer builds, but appears to have been removed in the homestretch.
The change is not the first to see the iPhone 3G lose access to a feature that had been enabled in the development process. Early developer builds of iOS 4.1 offered access to Game Center functionality for all iOS 4-compatible devices, but Apple later disabled the feature for the iPhone 3G and second-generation iPod touch before finally restoring compatibility for the second-generation iPod touch but leaving it out of the public release for the iPhone 3G.

After speaking to multiple developers and users testing out the iOS 4.2 betas, we have determined that AirPlay did in fact work on the iPhone 3G at one point, meaning the AirPlay functionality was definitely removed from Apple's two-year-old iPhone at its GM stage.
The report notes that Apple's product page for the Apple TV claims that AirPlay functionality is coming on "all iOS 4 devices", but the company has apparently changed its mind about iPhone 3G compatibility for unknown reasons. The change is not the first to see the iPhone 3G lose access to a feature that had been enabled in the development process.
